Than ribbon candy? Ribbon candy is one of my favorite Christmas time pleasures. I was recently shopping with my oldest son, Zack, and I commented that I was disappointed to see that ribbon candy can’t be found in the stores around here anymore. I told him that it has always been a holiday favorite of mine, and nothing signifies the season to me like seeing ribbon candy on the store shelves. He laughed and told me I was kinda silly for getting so happy (or not) over such a small thing.
Last weekend, Zack went to Knox Berry Farm with a friend. If you haven’t been to this amusement park, they have shops where you can buy all kinds of yummy goodies. This is what my thoughtful son brought home for his mamma:
I giggled like a small child opening their favorite Christmas package! Zack giggled a lot more over the fact that I just had to take a picture and post this to my blog! Yes, I truly am easily amused. When I saw the price tag on the box, I just about choked! $7.00 per box, and he bought me 2 boxes! When I told him he was crazy, he said, “But mom, it’s handmade, and you are worth it!” Gotta love him!
I don’t like it to eat but I have always thought ribbon candy was very pretty. What a good son! I wonder what he did that expects to get in touble for?????
That is one good kid!!!! 😀 Enjoy!!
And I notice you’ve already sampled the product :-)! I agree with Vicki, I don’t eat hard candy, but love the look & smell.
My advice: renew Zack’s son contract for another year.
what a sweet kid! a keeper for sure. enjoy your treats. they look beautiful!
You give that good boy a big smooch on the cheek for me! WTG, Zack! 🙂
OOOOOoo…… is that fruit flavored? Like the jam and jelly there? Bet it is, which would make it actually taste good!
I always liked ribbon candy too. It had a different texture and was fun to break a piece off to eat. But it never really tasted all that great.
Enjoy!

What a nice surprise Lynn, and a good son. Enjoy.
what a good kid…..:)
That Zach is such a flashy guy! ROFLMAO– got him!
It’s beautiful, he’s super sweet, and you are worth every penny of $14!
Now people who comment after me are going to wonder about our friendship– I adore Lynn, and I’m pretty sure she’s rolling on the floor laughing at the above!
Oh Lynn, I love ribbon candy and haven’t had it in years! It reminds me of my childhood, too. We used to get it in our stockings. My mother had some candles that look like ribbon candy when we were at her house this weekend and my little nephew picked one up and tried to take a bite of it. I was tempted to taste it myself!
Gotta love him!!!
awwwwwwwwww what a sweetie!!! I missed ribbon candy so much one year we made ornamens that look like ribbon candy.

What a thoughtful and loving son (and gift). I’ve always thought the candy was pretty but a box of See’s toffee bark, that is my favorite Christmas yummy treat……….sigh. 😉
Oh what a little puddin’. It’s so pretty and you certainly deserve every penny he spent on you. 😉
I love it too!
I have never seen or heard of this kind of candy before! What a neat gift from your son!
