As I posted a while back, my husband bought me containers so that I could plant a few things in my yard and not have to worry about the dogs digging in everything. It’s also much easier on the back! I found a vegetable, which excited me terribly! LOL. Yes, I’m easily amused!

My herbs. Oscar apparently likes the Bay leaves, because he often comes in smelling like them.
Zinnias are perfect for growing in the hot summer!
We almost lost the bouganvilla due to a hard winter freeze. This was one of my mother’s favorite vines/bushes, so I always plant one wherever I live. I’m so glad this survived!
A very odd mid-day sky. I love the way you can see the sunrays coming over the trees.
This picture was taken last May, before I started my blog. The dogs went nuts at the back door window, and I looked out and found this visitor enjoying a swim in our pool!
Carie Shields, of Oregon, my latest customer. She was tickled that she could talk on the phone while stitching, because her new machine is so much quieter than her old one. Happy customers….it’s a good thing!
This is a spirit doll pin that I made, using a kit that Carla Barrett sent me for my birthday. I used the basics that came with the kit, then added my own flare.
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
Oooo– I like seeing all the photos! Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers– thanks for the tip to put them in pots!
Love the spirit doll; she is funky and cool!
OK Lynn, you were supposed to use PhotoShop and get rid of the bubba-chub! Loved your pics of your plants. Oh, by the way bouganvilla don’t survive in Oregon 🙂 Miss you!
There’s no bubba chub showing in that picture! As for the bouganvilla, I guess I’ll have to just make a pictoral quilt in memory of them before we relocate to Oregon. 🙂
What u say?
I lost 2 bougs this year too… over here!!!
Crepe Myrtle is one of my fav trees, and I have 3 in our home in stkn… named after kids..lol
I’m afraid I dont have much of a green thumb, thats why I keep Walt around:)
Lynn, I like all your plant pictures but I love the pictures of your pets. It looks like they have a rough life just like my Jazzy.
I neve thought to container garden…what a great idea.
Thanks for sharing all the pics.
Lynn,
I just saw your comment on my blog and wanted to give you a big hug and say thank you! It still amazes me that people I’ve never met may find my life interesting lol!
I also love the idea of the plants in containers – I hope to start preparing a garden in the next few weeks – lasagne style, and let it sit over the Winter and hopefully it will be ready to plant in the Spring. But I really like the containers and might do something like that out the front of our house. Thanks for the idea! And yes, I’d be mightily excited over seeing a vege too lol!!
