I’ve taken on the task of heading up our guild’s 2011 opportunity quilt project. When I first had the vision for this quilt, I knew I’d like it, but I wasn’t sure that what was in my head, would translate well into fabric. I’ve combined two patterns for the quilt. The applique blocks are from My Whimsical Garden by Piece ‘O Cake Designs. There will be pieced blocks between each applique block, and I’m using a pattern from Nancy Rink, of Nancy Rink Designs, for those blocks. I’m really getting excited about getting this quilt put together and on my longarm for quilting! The completed quilt will be unveiled at our guild’s January meeting, and tickets will go on sale at that time.
There are still a few blocks that need to be turned in. Just so you know, the birds will have eyes when the quilt is finished!

How cool! I love the blocks so far!
Cute!
Love the whimsical look of the blocks.
That’s going to be beautiful!
I’m think the blocks look great. Love the birds and flowers!!
Oh my, this is going to be SUPER cute!!!
I love the Piece o Cake patterns and yours look fantastic. You have been busy! Can’t wait to see the finished quilt. Do you sell tickets outside of your guild?
This is going to look so darned cute! I never doubted your design abilities. I want to buy tickets if I can. Your guild will be so happy with it.
I’m glad you all like it! We most certainly will be selling tickets to anyone who’d like to buy them! They will go on sale after the quilt is unveiled in late January.
