I finished the pear quilt and delivered it on Wednesday. This was a very cheery quilt to work on! I seriously thought about “losing” it, but then I’d have to repaint my kitchen. I’ve got too much to do to be painting right now, so I returned it to Suzanne. I struggled with the diamond polka dot border just a little bit. I was trying to come up with a way to quilt it that would show off the border, without distracting from it. It was already busy, as you can see. I tried two different designs, and picked them both out. Sometimes, my OCD really kicks in! If I don’t really like something I’ve done, I’ll take it out, even if someone else tells me it’s fine. I liked what I finally settled on, and I really liked how it all looked from the back!
At the end of the day, my fur boys took a nap for me, while I enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Thanks Lynn. Great job! Your quilting added to the overall look of the quilt without taking away from the applique. I like what you did so much better than the photo in the book. Now we just need to get the border on and get it hung – no painting required since I already have the perfect aqua wall! lol
Oooo, love that quilt! I can see why it could easily have become “lost”!
Great quilting job, too!
That’s a great quilt. It’s so different from every other pattern out there. I love what you did in the black squares.
Lynny, you’re amazing, ocd or not!
What… no cross hatching or SID??? VBG Looks great!!!
It is a lovely quilt. The polka dot border really makes it – and you did a lovely job on it!
It looks great! I love the treatment you did in those diamond squares– fabulous!
Looks great. I love the way you quilted those squares in the borders. Very nice.
